WordPress rebuilt as fast static HTML, live disk use down to about 28 MB, from a full WordPress install.
WordPress made sense when you needed a blog. If your site is really ten pages that change twice a year, you're paying, in speed, security, and maintenance, for machinery you don't use. We rebuild WordPress sites as hand-coded static HTML: sub-second loads, nothing to hack, nothing to update, and hosting that costs less.
Most small local businesses don't need a CMS. They need a fast site that ranks and makes the phone ring. For a site nobody edits, WordPress gets in the way of all three.
Every visit boots PHP, queries a database, and loads a theme plus a stack of plugins before a single word appears. A static page is just a file. It loads in under a second because there is nothing else to do.
WordPress exposes a login page, a database, and third-party plugin code on every site, that's the attack surface. Static HTML has no database, no admin login, and no PHP to exploit. There is nothing to hack.
Plugin updates ship on their own schedules and take each other down. Skip them and you're insecure; run them and Tuesday's update breaks Wednesday's contact form. Static sites have no plugins to update.
A maintenance plan exists to protect WordPress from itself. Migrating to static is the alternative: when there is nothing to patch, you stop paying to patch it, and hosting drops to the cheaper static tier.
On May 6, 2026 we moved this site, nxdigital.ca, from WordPress to hand-coded static HTML. Fifty-seven pages, Lighthouse 100/100/100. Then we kept doing it for clients.

A 3.2 MB static site replaced a WordPress install whose full backup archive ran 98 MB.
WordPress rebuilt as fast static HTML with local SEO metadata, JSON-LD schema, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml, live since April 2026.
The pattern holds. Matti Auto runs on eight hand-coded pages with no CMS and no backend. Sinbad Restaurant is a bilingual English and Arabic static rebuild, twenty pages, WordPress replaced at the apex.
A migration isn't a copy-paste job. Every project ships with the same baseline, so nothing is lost and nothing goes dark.
Every page, post, image, and menu comes out of WordPress before we touch anything. Nothing is lost in the move.
We rebuild the site as it is, or fix what's dated while we're in there. Either way it's hand-coded HTML, no theme, no page builder. Want a full redesign at the same time? That's our web design work.
We map every WordPress URL to its new home and keep the same addresses wherever possible, so search engines and old links land exactly where they should.
LocalBusiness structured data and any schema your old site had carries over, or gets added properly if it never had any.
Analytics and Search Console are verified and firing on the new site before cutover, so your measurement never goes dark.
We verify redirects, forms, schema, and indexing at launch, then check again in the weeks that follow.
This isn't for everyone, and we'll tell you when it isn't. If you publish blog posts every week, or your staff edit the site daily, the CMS is earning its keep, keep it. In that case we harden WordPress instead: managed hosting, staged updates, daily backups, and monitoring. See hosting & care →
