The problem.

Wilstea is a heritage Ceylon tea brand. The parent company, Robert Wilson's Ceylon Teas, has sourced single-estate teas in Sri Lanka since 1996, and sells to North America as Delwi Teas. The WooCommerce store needed steady hands: no unified measurement, years of legacy blog comments left open and unmanaged, and on-page SEO gaps, duplicate meta tags on 43 of 94 pages, short titles, missing image alt text.

The keyword targeting was also wrong. Generic national terms like "tea online Canada" had no search footprint for the site and never ranked. The SEO program had to be regrounded on what the store could actually win: the brand name and Ceylon-origin long-tail.

What we built.

  • Managed WooCommerce storefront

WordPress + WooCommerce + Elementor store on NX hosting, with domain management, backups, speed optimization, and Microsoft 365 email.

  • SEO grounded in real data

A 94-page technical crawl set the baseline: 91.7/100 on-page score. We reground keyword targeting from generic national terms to brand and Ceylon-origin long-tail, eight keywords now tracked weekly through NX RNK.

  • Full measurement stack

GA4 property, Google Search Console with sitemap submission, and the NX DAT privacy-friendly pixel deployed on every page.

  • Site hygiene, no plugin bloat

Closed comments site-wide across 198 posts and pages and purged 76 legacy comments with a one-shot, self-deleting script, nothing left behind on the host.

The outcome.

The store scores 91.7/100 on technical on-page SEO across a 94-page crawl. Brand searches, "wils tea" and "wilstea"hold the #1 position on Google. Eight brand and Ceylon-origin keywords are tracked weekly, and every visit is measured through GA4 and NX DAT.

Runs on our own platform.
